Assembling a Radiator Cover *

Image
Wickes Derwent Radiator Cover Assembling a Wickes Derwent Radiator Cover. This was fairly easy to put together.  For the price it is a decent product. The product is sturdy enough and the build is solid. The grill is a bit less solid but will not break for no reason. The 46 screws per panel are a pain and could be a couple of millimeters longer. lots of technical videos. https://sites.google.com/view/tecchie/home https://sites.google.com/view/fxv300tech/home

Checking tyre pressure and inflating tyres using sealant pump *

Image
Checking tyre pressure and inflating tyre using foam pump . Many modern cars have tyre pressure sensors. There is a warning symbol which comes on in the dashboard when any of your tyres is below the minimum settings. You can use the tyre pump usually in your "puncture repair pump mobility kit and sealant". This video was created using a Vauxhall Mokka to demonstrate how to pump the tyre. lots of technical videos. https://sites.google.com/view/tecchie/home https://sites.google.com/view/fxv300tech/home

How to remove rawlplugs from a wall *

Image
An easy way to remove rawl plugs from a wall. Rawlplugs can be a pain to remove from walls but can easily be removed with the right tool. If you are removing from a plasterboard you will need to support the plasterboard when removing the rawlplug. Drill a hole in a piece of wood and put the wood between hammer and screw....easy.

Using PI 4 GPIO signals to control a 74LS00 NAND Gate *

Image
Raspberry PI project Simple little project showing how NAND gate integrated circuit works. The circuit is built on a breadboard which will be connected to a Raspberry PI 4 using GPIO signals. Control GPIO Pins. The code to control the circuit is written in python. you can substitute a 74ls08 which is a AND gate, the output will result be opposite to the NAND gate. This can also be demonstrated by doing a SCRATCH. I will upload a SCRATCH set via https://sites.google.com/view/fxv300tech/ Raspberry PI 4 for many videos and projects visit https://sites.google.com/view/fxv300tech/raspberry-pi-4

Controlling 4N35 optocoupler using a GPIO signal from PI 4 or Arduino *

Image
Controlling 4N35 optocoupler using a GPIO signal from PI 4 or Arduino Controlling 4N35 optocoupler using a GPIO signal from Raspberry PI 4 or Arduino or any similar device which has General Purpose Input Output facilities (GPIO). Simple python script can be adjust for timing. The  4N35  is an optocoupler for general purpose application. It consists of gallium arsenide infrared LED and a silicon NPN phototransistor. What an optocoupler does is to break the connection between signal source and signal receiver, so as to stop electrical interference. check out my Raspberry PI projects. https://sites.google.com/view/fxv300tech/raspberry-pi-4/projects

Ford Mondeo MK3 (2001 2007) Changing the Air Filter *

Image
May 2020: Ford Mondeo MK3 (2001 2007) Changing the Air Filter. Changing the air filter periodically can increase fuel efficiency and improve acceleration. If you do a lot of mileage it should be done  every 12,000 to 15,000 miles. This is very easy to do, takes a few minutes and in my case the filter was £5, no excuse really. Changing a cooker thermostat *

Image
BE SAFE !! Make sure the electricity is turned off when working with electrical equipment. Turn off THE ELECTRICITY to the cooker at the mains switch or at the consumer unit. Many cookers use the same thermostat 46THC15/F5 This main oven thermostat can be replaced with a ET51001/F5 In some cases a ET51001/J5 thermostat is supplied. Not sure what the differences are. My cooker is ZANUSSI ZCE7700X (94852202200)Product # 94852202200 but the same thermostat is used on many cookers. The instructions supplied are generic. If you are unsure about the installation it may be best to use a qualified electrician. I will try and reply to any questions. Thanks for watching, please subscribe.
